Every considered your next home to be a shipping container? The other day when reading one of Vancouver’s free newspapers, Metro Vancouver, I read an article titled, “Shipping containers to house women in DTES.” The article stated, “A new social housing project that would turn shipping containers into temporary homes for disadvantaged women is awaiting a green light from the City of Vancouver.” Which I found to be a really interesting idea for the city to look into, but when I dug deeper I learned that there are currently some pretty cool projects out there with shipping containers.
